chalkboard on wall

we had some leftover barn wood...

and thought a chalk board behind our counter would be perfect!

so I cut the first piece and nailed it up...

them we marked off the area to paint...we painted directly on the wall,,,

finished framing...and thank the lord!! for once I measured correctly and it worked the first time!!!

love it!!!
we will move this gorgeous 1920's picking ladder over to the side a little more and add some pretties to it!!!

progress...

we have been making progress!!! we have painted and have moved out of the other shop, and now just stocking....
here are some photos of what we have done so far...

this was the front...

we painted the window trim a dark rich brown and the door a soft green, then added old barn wood to the walls and painted our address the brown and green...

we started our window display so people driving by could see our progress...

we have been adding some plants...

and pumpkins...
then on the inside...

this was a clothing store before so it had these two dressing rooms, which we are going to keep and rent out...

we had an opening cut into the wall, so that could be our work area...

before...

we had this stage secured in front of the window...

and had an arbor made from old fence post, so we can hang things from...

in front of the dressing room openings, we attached old barn wood...

then used MMS linen paint and dry brushed it...

then sanded it...

then we cleaned our booths out from the other shop and piled it in the shop...

and now we have been arranging and starting to stock the shop...

we are getting excited!!!
and tired!!!!
can't wait to show you the big reveal!!!!!

well Decor Steal's had them a couple weeks ago, and I bought three, you couldn't ask for a special color, you get what you get, but I didn't care...I just hoped I would get one green or a aqua one...

the second one, love this green, the cap is a little ugly, but the bubbles in the glass make it pretty!!
