Outdoor Wednsday...

Today I thought I would show you the view of our little town...


we are going up this little hill, see the road in the middle of the hill...


almost there...


its 10:00 and its already 95 degrees, when its hot in the San Joaquin Valley our air quality is bad, you can see it...if you click to enlarge you can see the old water tower, that is the middle of town...



most all of the groves of trees you see are oranges, there still is a few olive groves...

    Thank you for taking us on a drive to your town...it did seem somewhat barren even though there are orange groves...I can't imagine seeing an orange tree...that would be awesome

    A lovely drive, I miss seeing the mountains here in Florida. The closest thing we have is the Skyway Bridge :)

    What a great view! You can tell that is hot there. It is different to see the barren land and than see all those groves of green. Thanks for tour and sharing.

    Been quite hot here also, but we did get a small rain yesterday and the cloud cover is keeping things in the 90's instead of 105 like last week.

    I love seeing & learning more about where people live. It is still much greener where you live than down here in southern California. And the air quality gets bad here too when it heats up.     Hi Stefanie! Boy that countryside looks familiar. We were in Clovis for a wedding on Saturday and then drove to Seattle. I think it ended up being 108 on Saturday and hotter on Sunday Yikes! Stay cool!!

    I love getting tours of other people's hometowns! Especially when the landscape is so different from our own in New Jersey -- where we have close together hills and valleys, covered with trees -- we don't get those wide vistas that you get!

    What a great post...nice to see your little town and the photos are lovely! I love all the wide open spaces. It used to be like that where I live and a few years back they started developing a ton of cookie cutter neighborhoods.

    It may be hot and dusty but I LOVE the San Joaquin Valley because we get all of our wonderful produce from those dear heart farmers. I'm grateful every time I drive down I-5 for each and every one of them! What town are you in?
