look at that sweet face, how can she be taller than me...where did the time go. Oh, yea, she thinks its funny, just like the boys, Ha ha, mom's short. Now she is only 1/2 inch taller, but to her, it might as well be inches, which it probalbly will be. I never thought as myself as short, I am 5'6" but amoung these giants living in my house...Well, to say I am sad is an understatement....she is my baby...where does the time go...I wish I could stop time, she is ten and I think I would like to keep her that age, still fun, still likes to play and color...okay, I am done, I am just getting too sad...lol...hug your babies!!!!

Oh Stephanie they do grow up so fast and I don't mean just in height! My oldest is now 30! Yikes indeed! My baby girl will be 28 in February! So yes hug them everyday or as often as you can, I do!
ReplyDeleteShe is so pretty.. all my babies are out on their own,, I am the shortest in my family as well,, except for one Daughter, she is shorter then me... yea.... she is just about 5' I am 5'2" they seem to like it that I have to look up at them...lol but I remind them that I am still Mom.. smile...

If she's ten you are in BIG trouble! What a beautiful girl! And I would like to add that you should encourage the playing and coloring. I still wanted Barbies @ 13 and Actually have bought them all my life! Don't loose the kid in you that plays!!

ReplyDeleteMy husband is 6'2 and my son is 6'5" and I'm 5'3! They hide all the cookies on the top shelf in the kitchen cabinets because they know I can't reach them!!
They grow up way too fast. My baby boy is now 34!

She is beautiful! My niece is growing by leaps and bounds too, she just turned 9 and I am thinking by this time next year she may pass my 5'3 1/2 inches! Love the headband too! And the pooch!

ReplyDeleteHappens with Grand Daughters too. Mine loves it. -chuckle- So far, she's the only Grand who is taller. The 16 year old is same as me and her Mom. But the clock is ticking. The others will soon catch up and surpass. :-)
Your daugther is a beauty!! I know our son who is now 22 is about 6 feet tall.. he has definately surpassed his father in I in height. They do grow up very fast... don't they?

I hear you! I am 5'7. My husband is 6'4 and my step children (girls) are both 5'11. My 12 year old is now 5'7 1/2 and growing fast. But my 15 year old is 5'5. Lucky for her as she is a ballet dancer and 5'11 might be tough. LOL But anyway, I was looking forward to feeling petite for the first time in my life:-) Oh well...
