Opionions please...

I have been making gravel paths to my craft cottage...

so I can start adding plants...I really want to add window boxes to the windows.  I don't want wood because they don't last, so I looked into vinyl, whew, expensive...so here is where I need your opionion (because husbands are NO help)...

I found these at Home Depot, $26.00 each, already filled, I love the swirls and hearts, but, I don't know...one...(haha my sons morning hair)

or two...or are they just not right and I should save my money and buy the white vinyl boxes?  What do you think?

  1. Well, to start with, I'm green with envy over that sweet craft cottage. You lucky girl!
I LOVE the plants under the windows...I would do two. Can't wait to see it all finished!

  2. I love you little craft cottage. I'm working on my own too but you're way ahead of where I am! I like two planters better than just the one. It seems small by itself. If you're not completely sold on the container maybe you could paint it white at some point when you're re-potting it. Hanging flowers will soon cover them too!

  8. Cute craft cottage and I would also use 2 planters if you go with those or look for one larger planter and put your own flowers in it. Either way....cute!!

  10. I would save my money and buy the white ones. These would look great if you had a black door on your Craft Cottage.

If you love these, keep them. The only one you need to please if you!

Have fun deciding and have a great weekend.

  12. I like the two you found at the Home Depot! That is our second home too! I love your craft cottage! I know I did not get in at the beginning, how did you get to the point where you had to have this lovely treasure built!?

I would love to have my very own place to hang out and craft! Blessings to you! Anne

  16. Hi Stephanie,
I so love your little house. I wish it were mine.
Yes, you need two. I would probably paint them pink and add tons of flowers.

  17. I say two...too~lol

White ones would look great also, but I like the look of the scrolly ones.

You can always live with them for awhile and if you decide you want the vinyl....these will still look pretty anywhere you put them.

  19. the ones you bought are very nice but do they make you GASP?

if it makes you GASP, it's worth the wait. i think that's my new motto. i bought something today kind of over budget but i liked it so much. so guess what i did? sold 2 old gold bracelets from the 80s at a cash for gold place at the mall! where there's a will, there's a way! LOL

  21. I've been begging my husband to make me one of these too! I wish...I lost my craft room when we had boy #5 so everything is done in my already small kitchen/dining room. Oh how I want one!

  22. I don't think they are quite right and in the long run you won't be happy with them. Check out this window box alternative from martha. Super crafty and unique... perfect for your craft cottage

  23. I think I would go with two also. But depending where you live you might consider a plant that dosent mind a lot of sun and might be drought tolerent. Becuase the window boxes might need to be watered on a daily basis. And that is also a cute crafting cottage. I woud like to get my hands on a small potting shed. Thanks for sharing.

  24. Well, it's your (absolutely adorable) cottage but if it was me, I'd do one white box on each window with a little pink ♥ wood cut out glued to the front. :)

  26. I have found that whenever I settle for less, I always regret not saving and getting what I want in the first place. Definitely two if not getting your first choice. Your cottage is lovely, I could live there forever!
