so I will start revealing one wall on fridays...and any suggestions is fine with me...I decided to stop drooling over everyones space and just go with what makes me happy, and being a family room, its used alot and needs to be functional and I need to keep the furniture and entertainment center that I had...
so this is my color palette, all of my favorite shades...
here is what I have so far, I did the faux wainscoting on the bottom and painted it moon white by Beher, the top was so hard, I had so many swatches and samples, but finally chose Benjamin Moores Healing Aloe, I love it, really soft and soothing.
the faux fireplace had to stay, well because it really works in the winter...hahaha.
I had an old mirror that I just propped up, dont like the reflection of the fan, but love the mirror, then there is Herbie, my husbands first deer, who has been in every house we have ever lived in!!!
as you can see in the reflection, I don't have curtains up yet, I have decided to sew some to save money...
I love all my assesories on the mantle, but mantles are hard so I don't know if I should switch it up..
any suggestions?
I forgot I had these glass knobs, had them in a bag in the cuboard...
I found these gorgeous shelves made from antique tin on Ebay...my splurge,
just put a couple things up so far...
well there it is one wall, I am still rearanging funiture so I will snap a photo of the whole wall when I do that.
so what do you think?
any suggestions?
I am joing these parties...

Those images are just gorgeous! I love the mantel display and that chippy shelf you got on eBay. You must be so happy with what you achieved! It all looks so beautiful! X
ReplyDeleteLove the colors! I am getting ready to paint the downstairs and wanted to find the perfect blue. I can't think of a house where I have had a soft soft blue paint, so I think this is the one! I so appreciate you telling the names of the colors. I need to get cracking! it's scheduled for June.
ReplyDeleteI love all your chippy, old stuff. and of course the bottles.
Boy! Are we on the same wave length or what?
Have a great weekend! Karen

I love the color...yes, I have dealt with my fair share of "Kerbies" before! Thankfully, my 16 yr. old son decided he wanted me to decorate his room in the rustic look with all of his mounts, so all the "animals" are in one area...it really looks great and he even let me use some twig furniture and lodge look///I also like the bottles and architectural pieces that you have displayed. Old door knobs are one of my "things"...I would love for you to visit me and enter the giveaway over at The Cranky Queen...Keep Junkin'. Tiff
ReplyDeleteVery well done, Stefanie! I love both colors and your mantel is perfect!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Oh your room is looking lovely!! I love your wall color.
ReplyDeleteI just painted our other guestroom a color similar. I took a bunch of oops paint to make up the color- tad more green than I wanted but it turned out great for me playing the mad paint scientist!!!
Stephanie - what a great job you've done! Blues are difficult, but yours looks perfect. You've used items that you love and that's what is important. The glass knobs are wonderful! I love them. Looking forward to what you do next!
ReplyDeletePaula
