White Wednesday...

Easy pillow cover...
I wanted a big white ruffled pillow, but of course could not find what I wanted, I already had a 26" pillow so I thought I would make a cover...

I love the simply shabby line at Target...

and I am always looking at there clearance, I found this ruffled window panel...

love the detail, and its a heavy fabric...

measured a inch bigger...

with the extra after cuting I put right sides together, overlaped the back pieces where the pillow slips in, the great thing was the edges are already hemmed...

super easy!!!

and I have leftover fabric for a small ruffled pillow.

corsage & boutonniere...tutorial..

Wow, what a busy weekend!!!!!
so, so sorry I haven't visited you...
six basketball games and one baseball and PROM!!!

for this prom I decided to make the corsage and boutonniere for my son and his girlfriend.  When they went to formal I was in shock at how much they cost, $29.00 for the corsage and  $15.00 for the boutonniere, and they said that was a discounted price for buying both together!!

I bought a pretty bracelet, $16.00 and made a charm, a large button ( already had) and some ribbon ( .99)...

went out to the garden and picked some little lavender roses and lemon balm that was blooming...

attached the button to the bracelet...

bundle the flowers together with floral tape ( $1.00, dollar tree)..

tied it on to the bracelet...

then added the charm!!!

this way she gets to keep the bracelet and charm.

the roses look pink, but are a light lavender...

the boutonniere was the easiest,

a couple of roses, lemon balm, tied together with floral tape...

then ribbon added!

family room reveal part 2..

here is the next wall in my family room redo, here is wall one if you missed it
...as you can see the wood floor fairy hasn't visited me yet...
maybe next year..( this is where you all feel sorry for me)...

we have the hugest sectional ever!!! another something that had to stay...

  I separated the chaise and put it here...

with lots of pillows, this is my daughters own comfy spot...

and who doesn't love a stack of suitcases?

and the entertainment center that had to stay...

more room for "stuff"
