Going on vacation...

We are leaving tomorro to go to Shaver Lake, we rented a house for the week...so I am coming back from the grocery store and at the end of our drive is my boys(and their friend, who is over so much we call him our other boy). Well my husband told them to clean out the ice chest, there was really old beer in it, so this is how they got rid of it. I guess when you play baseball anything can become a ball. Well they sure did not like the smell or taste (yea).

Introducing...

I would like to introduce you to Louise... I couldn't decide which way I wanted to decorate her...French, antique, or covered in lacy dollies...

so I was looking on The Graphic Fairy's website...(if you have never gone there, do, all her images are free and gorgeous) and I found this image of Louise. I fell in love with it, all the vintage roses, I knew then that was her name. So I covered her in vintage music, tore up wrapping paper, and antiqued her.

I am taking her to my space in town so I can sell jewelry off of her.

Outdoor Wednesday...

Happy Outdoor Wednesday... it is soooooo hot! It has been over 100 degrees for six days. Sunday was 110. My garden looks hot and tired, except for these beauties...

do you think that is why the color is named "hot pink"...hmmmm.

Candy...

I went to a yard sale yesterday and my daughter (who is a chocoholic) spotted this candy box...
well it wasn't her kind of candy...

but my kind....for only $1.00, can you believe it, well I was very calm as I gave her the money...

I think for now I will just leave it in the candy box, I think it looks sweet.

Outdoor Wednesday...

We were going to my two sons baseball tournament in Wasco, where is Wasco? Well about an hour away in the boonies. So of course I have my camera, and I ask my son to take pictures...
grapes, yea seen those before...

pistashios, seen them too...

black eyed beans (yuk) seen that too...but wait what is that ahead, all this color, oh I know what those are...ROSES!!!!

Its about a 1000 acres of roses, who knew...

little tree roses, these were only two feet high, and about an inch around...

just beautiful...

I wish there was free samples...

even smaller tree roses...

rose bushes...

you know where I will be next year...

this was the only time my boys have ever got to be on the same team, we lost, but seeing them play together and the beautiful suprise of roses made it a great day!!

All better now, they fixed whatever was wrong. New canvas prints in the store, oo la la.

Scary...

If you are trying to go to my shop, Pappa shop is doing maintence, they said for me to check back in a couple of hours to see if my shop comes back up. Iv'e checked other shops hosted by Pappa shop and they are online, so I am a little nervous right now. I will let you know.
Whew all better, big sigh.

Yard sale find...

I found this at a yard sale way out in the country, it was off a busy road and I just glimpsed it, and made a u-turn. I think it has so much potential, and for $5 dollars I can't go wrong. I think I am going to paint her cream and try to do so French writing on it, like at the blog Dream in Cream...http://dreamincream.blogspot.com/. She has two in her beautiful booth, they are much nicer than this one, but again for five bucks.
