I love my pond, but I would be lying if I told you it was easy...
they are alot of work.
my best advice to you if you are thinking of building one is to pick a spot where it gets mostly shade.
the sun is just too hot and makes algea grow so fast, mine is finally getting lots of shade, the trees are growing and we have a cover over the patio that helps.
hope you enjoyed my pond!

I *did* enjoy your pond, and the beautiful pinks - and my daughter and I loved the cherub, so precious. My 15-y-o daughter wants me to tell you her favorite picture is #3 :) Thanks for sharing with us at Common Ground's Vintage hop.

Your pond is beautiful! I have a pond also and it is alot of work. We had to put a new liner in a month ago. Our Lab fell in and his claws tore it. We have around 27 fish , some really big Koi and mixed fantails. Mine is not landscaped around like yours. I do have the lillypads covered. The lotus have bloomed for 10 years. I also have a small waterfall. enjoyed your pics. judy

Oh Stefani - I'm drooling! Pink and a pond? What more could a girl want? Love all of your goodies too - the angel, the fleur de lis (looks like part of an iron fence). The flowers are so pretty. It's perfect! Hope you enjoy it all summer long. What a lovely sound it must make!

ReplyDeleteYour pond is gorgeous!!! They are indeed, a lot of work....
ReplyDeleteYour is GORGEOUS!! ours used to get a lot of shade. then the neighbor cut down their huge tree. that ended that! we are in the process of filling it in now. I love your waterfall and the way it gradually descends with the rocks. YUMMY!
ReplyDeleteThat's just beautiful!! I love the roses beside the flowing water.
ReplyDeleteNow I have to rehab my pond!!

What a nice pink. LG Tina
ReplyDeleteI am sure maintaining and keeping this pond requires a of TLC. Based on what you shared today, your has paid off. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have a pond also, I did have two but made the big one into an above ground vegetable garden. The smaller one is enough and I love the sound of the waterfall. Your roses beside yours is just so romantic, I may have to do that but mine is mostly shade and dont think a rose would grow there. Lovely pond.
ReplyDeleteStephanie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous area in your yard! Love these roses spilling over the water fall, just gorgeous!
Thanks for linking it up!
Sherry
BEAUTIFUL! I Love the Pinks.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to just sit by this spot for hours and take in the beauty, read, and pray. How special that you have this little retreat. Looks like it belongs to a lovely English Cottage in the hills.
ReplyDeleteBlessings & Hugs,
Karen
Està bellisimo su estante con hermosas rosas creciendo a su alrededor...bello!!

I love your pond with the pink roses spilling down beside it! While my husband is in Iraq I'm in charge of our pond so I hope I don't kill any of his fish! I'm having a problem with the uv light so it's pretty green right now. I may have to plant some pretty pink plants around it to make it more my style - I never realized how much I'd enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteDonna
Oh my, your pond is gorgeous! I love the lily pads and all the pink roses surrounding it. The rock waterfall is lovely too. I bet it is so relaxing to sit out there by the pond and listen to the water flowing.
