Big Changes...

This year is a year of big changes for me...

I am truly not ready!!!

Today was the first day of school for my children...

look at this face!!! How can he be a Senior today?  I knew time would fly and it did!!!

and how can he be a freshman?  A whole new world for him...

and the worst, I just dropped my baby girl at Jr. High, here in our town.   Jr. High is 6th-8th,  to me there is a big difference between a 6th grader and an 8th grader...of course she is excited, but I know from experience with my boys, sixth grade is where you come home and ask me..."what is a ....." aghhhhhhhhh

So today I am just feeling sad, but I have enough laundry to keep me busy, and I am expanding at my shop, so I will go down there today.  And of course I am going to bake some cupcakes for them!!!!

  4. What a precious post. Now I am sad for you..lol
It is sad how fast they grow up and in a flash they are no longer little ones.
Keep busy and enjoy your cupcakes.

  7. Such cute faces!!!
We're leaving two weeks from today to take my son to MS for his first year of college. Nine hour car drive away is too far for me!! You'll probably be seeing pictures of me crying on my blog in a couple of weeks!

  8. My little girl is 38 and I still can't get use to it. :)
It goes by too fast. Do you think our mom's thought the same thing?

  9. Hi Stefanie,

They do grow up so fast! Love the sweet photos of your children. Wishing them all the best at school.
Isn't it a strange feeling when they go back to school and the house is quiet.

    Happy weekend
    Hugs

  10. Oh Gosh. . .my youngest starts Kinder in 2 weeks and my oldest is going into 3rd and I am just a mushy mess. I can only imagine how I will be when they hit high school! They do grow so fast but is it both wonderful and bittersweet watching it happen. :)

  11. Embrace each stage. Life is so fast, my son is going to be 34 this year and our daughter is 32. I can remember all the first days of school, but life keeps getting better and better. We are all best friends now as well as mom, dad, son and daughter. That will never change and our love for one another just grows deeper and deeper. It's all good girlfriend, Char

  12. The years sure do go by very fast.. Years ago I had a lady tell me that once your kids start going to school that the years just fly by, and she sure was right about that!

    Blessings,

  17. you are such a good mom, I can tell. Yes, the years do fly - my daughter is 22 and I just don't know how that happened so fast. My son is almost 16. I would love to have them little all over again - I'd just do it better and savor each second next time around.
