this is my dining room, well actually I guess its an eat in kitchen...
I am changing the pink striped wallpaper...
and the lace curtains..
I have had this look for about ten years, I don't change much.
but I want a simpler, less frou frou look...
so I have had some of that beadboard wallpaper I found at Home Depot on clearance, for over a year...
I have done alot of wallpapering but this paper is different...
thicker, and not smooth so
smoothing it out is harder.
so this is how far I am, I will finish this tonight and tomorrow paint it.
I will let you know how that goes, seems strange that you can paint over it.
It's looking good! Can't wait to see the finished product!

It's looking good so far :) I LOVE that wallpaper ~ I would love to use that in my kitchen :) It needs to be re-wallpapered in there; lots of areas where the paper is wanting to come off, argghhh.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's neat! I've never seen that before. Your dining room is gorgeous before and I'm sure it will be even more gorgeous after!

How cool is that... it looks great.
ReplyDeleteI have the anaglypta (probably spelled wrong, the paintable English wall paper that has a raised design) in the front hallway. I have painted that at least 4 times, I love it and never get tired of it.
Blessings to you Sweetie
Rebecca
Will you be keeping the the pretty floral paper on top? It is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteI used a similar wallpaper that was paintable on my ceiling (looks like tiles) and it is a bit different to work with- especially the seams were a bit harder to butt together.
