I have been painting away!!!!
My first baby got accepted to the college he chose....so happy for him...but I am not going to lie!!! this is going to be hard!!!
hahaha...and expensive, so I have been really working on projects to keep my booth super full!!!!
I sold my hutch last week. horray!!!!...so I found another to replace it....
this was bigger than the last one...
funny how they don't look that big until you start painting...
I painted this one in chalk paint pure white...
I changed the glass out and replaced it with chicken wire,
the shelf inside was missing, but I like how you can put tall things in it this way...
and the handles look so much better painted...
top before,
and bottom...
off to paint more!!!!
hope you enjoy your weekend!!!!

Great piece, Stefanie! I love how you replaced the glass with the chicken wire. It looks great white, too. I had an oak hutch like that in our old house ~ it's my daughter's now. Nice to see how it might look painted white. It doesn't look like the missing shelf makes much difference to the look of it.
ReplyDeleteamazing friend! know you must be so proud!!!

Oh...this is just beautiful, Stefanie! Wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel to see the first one off, but as with anything, you get used to it. Well, maybe not the cost! lol!

Ouch, I remember those first months of empty nesting-just remember crying is okay-wearing their shirt is okay-becoming stalker Mom is hard not to do but never okay. ;-)

This hutch is lovely. I often wondered how something so modern but dated would look painted! I love it...Makes me think about Mom's dark hutch. Maybe I'll help her do the deed!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hugs,
Sherry
