How Lame....

Well, this Saturday I am having my daughters birthday party, she turned 10. We decided to do a old fashioned party (especially with today's economy). The local pizza shop has a big party room upstairs (free). We are going to decorate and decided to play bingo, number under the plate, and let them pick out prizes. Eat pizza and just have fun, well she took her invitations to school and told her friend what she had planned she replied "how lame" she told her their would be prizes, her friend replied "a wii, or a psp". I cannot believe how children expect such expensive things, well she was kinda sad, but I told her that probably some of the girls will act that way but I know the boys will have fun. Its just sad that kids don't know how to just have a good time with each other, instead of being catered to and entertained constantly.

Who am I....

Who do I think I am, Miss adventurous? I am such a homebody but, I don't know, I am feeling the urge to go more places. I am going to the Venture flea mart this Sunday. I will be taking my side kick, my then will be 16 year old son and his best friend. He will go anywhere for a food.

Diet journey....

Whew, it has been 2 1/2 weeks since I started my diet. I am so determined but it is so hard. I have lost 10 pounds, I know I should be happy but...I am impatient. Why is it so hard to lose, but sooooo fast to put on.

I'm back....

Whew, I am back, and tired. Well this was my first trip to the Rose Bowl flea market. It is huge. If you ever go, go early, we went at 8:15, perfect time. And pay for the V.I.P. parking, it is worth it, it lets you park up close. There is so much to see. I really enjoyed it because my son came with me so it let us just have time by ourselves. The other kids were a little sad, but I will do something alone with them too. At the flea mart there are soooooo many antiques and collectibles, the only problem is they are not as cheap as I had hoped, most things were as much as if I had gone to an antique store. But if you ever have a chance to go, do. And old town Pasadena is wonderful.
