Today for White Wednseday hosted by Kathleen at Faded Charm I am going to take you on a tour of this amazing shop named Good's Good's located in the country in Visalia, Calif. there are no signs to let you know it's there, no hours posted anywhere, everyone just knows its there and when they are open. It is nested in walnut groves and plowed fields. There is this old house which they had moved in, an old barn and a cute outbuilding. The owners live right across from this house in a gorgeous victorian. If you have ever seen the movie "Son-in-Law" with Pauly Shore, then you have seen there house. I am going to post half today and the other half tomorrow.
just drive in and park under a large oak tree...

Hi Stephanie.....
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh........I couldn't believe it when I clicked on your blog....your header looks soooo similar to my original Christmas header I planned.....then I decided to go with the nativity instead....I have that same little angel snowman! Your looks sooooo darn cute.
I've never been to Good's Goods (the store), but several years ago they were at the big antique show in Portland....they actually brought a whole big rug for their booth....Now, I soooo remember this because I couldn't believe what a clever idea it was. They used the BACK of an old piece of carpet. Painted it white, then stamped an off white check right over the top. They must have made their own "rubber" stamp"....the check was about a foot wide or so. It was so stinking cute! ....and perfect for a booth.....I think it would be great for a craft room too....just think....you'd never have to worry about ruining it! :-)
Now, about that house....WOW! Dang that's cute. I LOVE the floors too. I'm nuts about black and white check....and would have chosen that for my kitchen floor here, but the one they had was yukky. Thanks for sharing that....loaded with inspiration!
I have my yummy pink balls out.....I'm going to post some of it for Pink Saturday....I LOVE them...thank you again!
Huggies and lovies,
Spence
To die for GORGEOUS! Loved the tour!
